Late Night Studio Fun, Part 2
These are some images of one of our last nights in studio before thesis presentations. As you can see anything can be fun with a digital camera and wood duck.
I have been informed by my 2 fans that I need to update my blog.
In the interest of "sharing" my project with everyone I am posting some pix of my project. Also, I am finally posting my presentation from the mid-review
. It's only been 3 weeks.

It's been almost 2 weeks, which means that's it time for my bi-weekly addition to the blogosphere. School and work are going well. I am looking forward to graduation in a month (exactly 1 month from today). Unfortunately, I have to finish a thesis project by then.
My friend Ashley is giving up on the blogging world. She is now one of the millions who starts a blog and then quits after a short time. Quitter.
Today was an eventful day at school. It was the mid-term review of my thesis project; meaning that I have 6 weeks to finish my project. That is very exciting news since that also means that graduation is only 6 weeks away.
The blogging museum is coming along nicely. I get to explain my project to just about anyone who asks about since it's a pretty far-fetched idea. This is helping me to clarify my project. Now, the challenge becomes how do I use my "building" to compare virtual interaction and physical interaction between people. Also, it needs to address the individual nature of blogging. Anyway, it has become a very interesting project. I just need to finish.
I'll be posting my presentation from today in a little while -- hopefully tomorrow.
Now, I am going to bed.
The first week of the quarter has come and gone. We spent the week in a "charrette", which is basically a week of long hours to produce the most work possible and hopefully get somewhere with your design. Anyway, as is usual at this stage of the project I am stumped. I work and work and it seems that I produce nothing. There are so many facets to a design project that need to be solved that it is easy to become overwhelmed and frustrated early on in the process. So, that's where I am right now.
The good thing that has come out of the charrette is the decision to somehow connect my project with Frank Gehry's Experience Music Project
(known as the EMP to Seattle locals). It is actually a daunting task to image, connecting to the EMP since it is such an "unique" building. But, at least it gives me a direction to work.
It will be an interesting quarter and I am looking forward to working out a design of my project.
Last Quarter Ever!!
Tomorrow is the begining of my last quarter in grad school and I couldn't be more excited. But, it is a nervous kind of excitement because I still have a lot of work to do. This quarter I only have to focus on my thesis; no other classes, papers, or projects. However, the problem is that I don't really know how to go about my thesis project, but I guess that's what advisors are for.
It is kind of scary to think that I am starting my thesis quarter. This quarter always seemed so far away that it would never come. Now that the quarter starts tomorrow is it surreal to think that the 3 years of the M.Arch program are almost over.

It was a fun studio project. Feel free to post comments about the project and/or the presentation. It was my first attempt to explain an architecture studio project in a Flash movie.
